I created this tag for the Compendium Of Curiosities Challenge. Since there are only a couple weeks left in the challenge I thought I would make a Time Flies tag. I will be sad when the challenge comes to an end. I have enjoyed every week of it. Well on with this weeks tag. I LOVE working with alcohol ink and metal so this was definitely the week for me! The challenge was on page 56, Altered Metal Alcohol Inks.

reference for techniques.

I created this tag for two challenges this week. I have been involved with the Compendium of Curiosities Challenge and have done every week. This week is week # 23. Inking and Stamping Masks, you can find out how to do the technique on page 59 in Tim Holtz's book.
The second challenge is the Simon Say Stamp and Show. I love shopping at the Simon Says Stamp store and they always have a great challenge so I figure why not give it a go?! This weeks challenge is a tag.
I had so much fun with this tag. All of the stamps and embellishments are from the beloved Tim Holtz. (With the exception of the mini tag and the ribbon) I just love how she looks to be sitting on the round circles. I had a great time inking the image and then I added a bit of Rock Candy Stickles to her wings to give them a bit of sparkle. The ribbon reminded me of the texture of her little red dress. There is something about this one I just can't stop staring at it. I just love it. I want to know the little girl's story... You can click the image to see larger.

Here is my CCC # 28, Colorful Layered Fragments. I got this one done in the lick of time. I realized at dinner Sunday night that I still hadn't done it and I only had an hour to do it so notice no ribbon and it's a bit messier than my usual work. Sorry, but I at least did it and got it done with 24 minutes to spare. Whew!

I created this tag for the Compendium Of Curiosities Challenge. We are now on week 26 and this week's challenge is the Rusted Grunge technique from Tim's book Compendium of Curiosities. You can find out exactly how to create this look on page 45. I used it on both the wings and the key hole piece. I love, love, love (and I mean LOVE) this technique!!! I clipped a photo of an eye out of an ad from a magazine to place behind the keyhole to make it appear that someone was peeking through the hole. Lovin' It!
Still working hard on my son's new house which is quickly becoming a home. This should be my last full day there. We have painted all of the rooms and I have decorated all of them. I am putting in the final touches today. We only have the upper kitchen cabinets to install (previous homeowners took them). I will be posting all the before and afters next week so stay tuned for the big reveal!

This is the tag that I made for the Compendium Of Curiosities Challenge #25. It is doing the Scribble Stain Distress technique which you can find in Tim Holtz's book Compendium of Curiosities on page 34.
On another note we have been soooo busy working on my son, Nick, house. He closed on Thursday late afternoon. We got the kitchen painted that night and got alot unloaded and unpacked (bathroom essentials etc.). Friday we got the family room, entry hall with very tall ceilings and the 1/2 bath painted. More unloaded and unpacked. Yesterday finished painting the hall and entry, started on the Master Bedroom painting and moved all the furniture!!! Whew! Let's see how much we get done today.
