Shadow Box Notepad

I created this Shadow box note pad for the Grungy Monday challenge. I've been pretty busy this week so it's more like Grungy Friday for me. LOL I love this idea of placing the item inside of the foam core cut out to create the shadow box effect. You can see exactly how Tim does it by clicking here. If you are interested in my "Time Flies" shadow box note pad you can find it HERE.
I had plenty of foam core laying around as I am reorganizing all of my ribbon right now. Wow, what a challenge that is! I had spools of all shapes and sizes. It was somewhat organized but I had my spools in one spot, the ribbon that was wound on cardboard in another and 3 of the floss boxes filled with smaller ribbons. So to find the ribbon I needed I had to go to 3 different areas to check my stash. Yeah, that didn't happen often. I am now working on winding it all on 2" X 3" pieces of foam core that I cut from a large piece that I bought and just cut down. I am securing the ends with a rubber band. I am not really brand conscious so I am just pitching the spools. OMG it is saving SOOO much room and looks so much better. I should have it done very soon. I will post the final pics when I'm done...hopefully tonight. I have even gotten my husband to help with the project. Last night we worked on them for 3 hours...still not done.

Tick Tock Memo Pad

I just love the new embossing folders and die cuts that Tim Holtz came out with. He always has the best products!!! I created this memo pad for the Grungy Monday Challenge . This week's challenge is Distress Fades and Distress.

I just love all the clockwork designs. I added the gears and additional clock for some added texture and interest. I turned made it into a notebook filled with blank white paper, perfect for journaling or taking notes. I just love it. I plan to place it in my Etsy store (if my husband doesn't steal it first). He just loves to snatch a lot of my creations to bring to his office. LOL.

Indy's Premiere Card Collection!!!

Indy is back!!! Indy, the cat, has created her first card collection. This premiere card collection is her Spring/Summer. If it goes well then she will have a Fall/Winter addition to look forward to. Everyone who knows Indy, Loves Indy... She is quite the princess. And loves any kind of attention she can get. When she isn't helping me in my craft room she is usually trying to see what she can get into. Indy just loves when I come home with new craft supplies, she loves to see what I got and check everything out. Because of her natural curiosity and personality she is a perfect model. We had so much fun getting these pics...and believe me she did too. She got lots of her special shrimp treats. LOL. If you are interested you can purchase the card collection HERE P.S. Mention in the comment section at check out that you saw this on my blog and I will send you something special with your order.

New Cards for my Etsy Store!!!

I've been a busy girl working on a variety of cards. Besides working on these I am also working on a few other projects. Plus with my Blog-aversary just around the corner I am working on a special treat for everyone!! I had so much fun working everything but my studio is now in a state of disaster. I have just about every tool and embellishment out and laying on my counters. Lol! Today is cleaning day!!!

Sew Many Ideas Journal

This weeks challenge for the Grungy Monday was to use our Ranger Adirondack Color Washes

Thank you Tim and Linda for challenging us to bring out and use all out tools!

I have to admit that I have been neglecting them but this made me bring them out and play. And the fun that I had was infectious! I definitely will be using them more often. I love that the more layers I used the more depth the color would get. I used a combination of Butterscotch, Cranberry and Espresso for the base of my journal covers.

I went to college and graduated with honors, majoring in Fashion Design and Fashion Merchandising. That was my passion and where my love for the arts started. I started really getting into paper crafts after my botched foot surgery 4 years ago that had me immobile for a few years. Unable to sew but still wanting a creative release I began scrapping daily. And here I am today...addicted. LOL

Soar Journal

I created this journal for the Grungy Monday challenge that Linda from Studio L3 is hosting. It is an ongoing challenge that if you love to learn Tim Holtz's techniques this is the place to be! This weeks challenge is on Distress Ink with Studio Multi Medium! Love this technique! Since I have done all 4 years of Tim's Christmas Tags and all the Compendium of Curiousities challenges in tags. I figure I have enough tag inspiration for a while. LOL Most of the Grungy Monday techniques are probably ones I have already done in my tags and I'm quickly running out of space. LOL. I am going to create a usable piece of art. Like a journal, cards, pendant, etc. Who knows what I will come up with. Some of them may be cards that I send to Operation Write Home, some I may give as gifts and some I may place for sale in my Etsy store. So if you see something you like, let me know. Don't get me wrong, I'm not looking to get rich or anything. LOL I would like to share my art with others and I do need to support my crafting habit somehow. What better way than by doing what I love, right?

You can find this journal HERE

2 Monogrammed Note Cards

Pin It! I created 2 more styles of Monogrammed Note Cards. I just love the paper with the light blue and gorgeous green swirls. I am having so much fun making these cards. I have had some questions as to what the monogram stamp that I use. I am using the Just Rite stamp. I have one for sale in my Etsy shop.
