Masks Basic Tag

Compendium of Curiousities Challenge #14 is one on using Masks so since I am in a bit of a rush this week with Scrapfest just days away I was glad it was an easy one. This isn't my favorite tag but I did learn a thing or two. I tried a new medium for adhering the music text to my tag and I hated it. It was the Liquitex Matte Medium Fluid. It did a horrible job adhering it. It was messy, the sides of my tag didn't lay flat and as you can see it speared on the top. Worst of all Indy, my cat, was of course assistiing and was wagging her tail and ran it through the matte medium and now has a hard clump of hair on her tail. It goes with her green paw from walking on my Peeled Paint ink pad last night. LOL. Oh well, guess she's getting a bath today.

I just love your tags. None of my tags come close to yours. I am not trying but I would like them to look good LOL.

Ooh love that tag. I can't ever get anything to look like yours.
I was supposed to go to scrapfest, but gf backed out. Couldn't afford 5 hour trip and hotel by myself. So sad. :( have a great time.

I love how it turned out! I always have a soft spot for music notes since I played piano for 9yrs (gosh that's a long time!)

I don't mind the imperfect areas at all. So often, we try for that, and get it too perfect. It is a lovely tag, Christie. And it is good to know what doesn't work as well as what does!

So beautiful Christy!

Ooh, it's gorgeous, Christie! I love that rich red, and the masking is just perfect. No one would ever know you had any challenges with the adhesive you used-- the sheet music overlay looks awesome! I love the little crystal accents, too-- what a great little pop of bling!

Indy sounds suspiciously like three cats I know... ;-)

I really love the tag, but the story about your cat and the assitance to your creative efforts was totally hilarious. Thanks for the laugh.

Thanks for the tip on the medium not working well. I make tags as well and that is good to know. I think yours came out pretty nice though. I am going on a weekend scrapping crop tomorrow! Can't wait to scrap and try all these new techniques without interruptions from every day life!

I love it! Have fun at the scrapfest. I wish I lived near you. I actually fly for free but the cost of the hotel always gets me. Well cant wait to see how it went.
