Organizing my Movers & Shapers

This morning I worked on organizing my Alteration Movers & Shapers. I had picked up this metal board from Ikea and hung it on one of my studio walls. It was only $12.99. I originally just hung it plain but then gad a great idea to cover it in Tim Holtz's Composer tissue wrap.  I used ripped off pieces of the tissue and attached it using matte medium overlapping the layers.  The metal board fit perfectly on the wall under the hanging cabinet and above my Vagabond. I now can see all my Movers and Shapers at a glance instead of sifting through a box to see which ones I have. Great for inspiration too. Sometimes I will get a great idea and then realize Oh No, I don't have that die. I can now just glance and grab what I want to play with :)

What a terrific idea. My dies are on a bookcase and I have to read the sides to see what I'm getting. You can see them all at a glance.

What a great idea! I have my nesties stored on a magnet strip on the door of my pc cabinet which is right in front of my Cuttlebug and Grand Calibur! It does make it much easier to see and use! *Hugs*

Christie,

I love your craft room!!! :) I have that same magnetic board (from Ikea)...I have little embellishment tins and a few Spellbinders on mine (most of my Spellbinders are on magnetic vent covers that hang on the inside of my cabinet doors)! I never thought to decorate it-what a great idea!!!! (although not much of my board is exposed-lol!)

Thanks so much for sharing!

Crafty hugs,

Love this idea! Wish I had more wall space so I could do something similar w my Spellbinders dies...

What a beautiful way to display them! I had no idea you could cover the metals and still use with magnets! TFS what a great idea.

I see a trip to IKEA in the near future ;)

Howdy,
I Like how you've stored your Stickles bottles (or whatever they are) upside down under the cabinet.

I just bought the TH tissue wrap acouple days ago. One way I use it is to protect my work surface instead of a 'craft mat'. I do own 2 Ranger craft mats, but I prefer to use paper under my projects. When they get all covered with paints I roll them up and store in a large basket. Eventually I recycle them in my mixed-media backgrounds. I like the random paint and abstract qualities that end up on the papers.

Peace,
LuLu
Would love for you to visit my blog when you have a moment or 2!
