Stylish Copic/Colored Pencil Holders !

Pin It! OMG!!! I created the most stylish and useful way to not only have easy access to my colored pencils but to display them as well! I have been struggling with my Prisma Color pencils for a while now. I love them but they come in a metal tin and I have to constantly sift through the layers of pencils to find the color that I need. UGH! I have been brainstorming for a while and came up with this solution! LOVE IT!!! I loved it so much for my colored pencils that I decided to do the same for my Copic Markers. I have been doing some investigating as to whether it is best to store them on their side or up and down, etc. I haven't found any solid answers so after long hard thinking I have decided what is best for me is to store them my way. LOL I have been storing them up and down and haven't had a problem so why stop now, right? I love that they are portable within my home and since I don't take them with me anywhere I don't have to worry about that. When I add to my collection I will just add another vase.

To create this masterpiece of color I got a vase and fill it part way with Crystal Fill. You can find it in the floral department at JoAnn fabrics. I then just started adding my colored pencils or markers to the vase. It's just that easy.

Great idea Christie and it's really pretty!!! Mine are stashed in a drawer and though I would love to do something similar to yours, I have run out of surface... LOL... I do know where to find them each time though!!!

I do love this idea, like Wwilloww said though I do not have any surface space. Though I am working on changing my spare bedroom into a craft room and moving the wardrobes in there into the smaller room I use as my craft room. I am sure I could organise it a lot better and have loads more storage. I could still keep my spare bed in the room. Now to persuade hubby it would be a good idea. Big G.
Or I could send him away for a weekend and get my grandson in to help me move it all. GGGG.
I wonder if those glass marbles would work as well. maybe not as they are too solid and you would maybe not get so many pens in it.
I would also be worried that knowing me I would knock it on the floor and spill it all, clumsy should be added to my scatty name

LOVE the idea, as I am VERY OCD & love to organize. I have a soon to be 3 year old who loves to play in my craft area so this at this particular moment in time would be out of the question. BUT I will forward the idea to my other crafter friends in my new organization that I instruct the Cricut to....they love this kinda stuff. I have directed them to your blog so hopefully you will get a few more followers! YEAH! :0)

Hi Christie -

Awesome idea! I still have my sets of Prismacolor pencils (48 and 120) in their original boxes. And it is a pain to dig them out. Now, can I ask where you purchased the vase?

You can store your Copics standing up. In fact, your holder is very similar to the one Copic sells -- although it's not as pretty as yours!

What a great idea. I love the sparkle. I can think of quite a few items that would look pretty displayed like this ( and useful too!) Thanks so much for sharing.
