The Christmas Spirit

Well this weekend Indy helped us decorate for Christmas.
This is by far my favorite time of year... I love the music, the hot cocoa, getting together with friends and family. I don't get caught up in the shopping madness, the stress and drama that so many seem let ruin their Holiday season. We all know there will be long lines, so shop online, go early and if you do get stuck in line. Smile and maybe let someone (maybe the elderly or someone with a crabby kid) in line in front of you. Just think maybe they will do the same. If we are all nicer to each other it makes the world a sweeter place to be. Remember it is not the checker fault that something has the wrong price or that their is a long line. Be nice. Maybe print out a couple extra coupons from my site and give them to people standing in line.
It may make their day. :)

That cat is hillarious! How did you EVER get him to stand still long enough to put that on? Our cats would be hiding behind the sofa if they saw me coming with one of those!

I just commented on this post on The Hive, but wanted to repeat it here for any who don't read it there. It is all so true about staying positive. I once read a saying, "A smile is the only thing you can't give away because when you do it always comes back to you!"

Thanks for your comments about shopping and spreading the Christmas Cheer with your coupons. I worked retail for years and there were days when it was pretty hard to keep smiling and enjoy Christmas. I used to always wear some piece of "holiday" jewelry and on the weekends I would always wear a Christmas sweater (the crazier the better)! Most customers used to get a kick out of the sweaters. I was in HR so I only helped out on the registers when the cashiers were getting overloaded but I always tried to smile and thank each customer for their patience and when I finished the transaction and handed them their merchandise, I always thanked them for their business.

Too adorable! My cat would make me pay for days if I tried to dress him up! I tried a santa hat one year, never again! I love your blog and completely agree with you in regards to shopping. My dad and I have a tradition of shopping each Christmas eve and we always let people go ahead of us, sing carols in the car and never fight over parking spots. It is our way of bringing joy and the christmas spirit to others. Thanks for you post. Really got me in the christmas mood!
