My Assistant

I wanted to introduce you to my assistant, Indy. She is always checking out what my latest project is. Here she found a snuggly place to take a nap when I was making pillows.
She was a stray that we took in about 10 years ago. That is why we call her Indy, like Indiana Jones, she battled the wild. She even had been shot in the hip by a BB gun. We had the BB removed and it took her a good year for her to really like people, now she can't get enough of us. She is like our shadow, following us everywhere. She is so grateful to have a warm and loving home.

I have an "Indy" too. She came to us about 7 yrs. ago, was licking he cans in the recycle bin. She was afraid of everything "human" but now comes in like she owns the place. She still prefers to be outside, but definitely know we are her family. She talks up a storm, so we named her Gabby. One of the gentlest, most appreciative cats I have had. So sad that people feel it is OK to abandon their pets

Hi,
I have a kitten which is about 5months old. He also is a tabby cat but gray. He was stay found by 3 older women in the middle of Chicago winter and take to the local shelter. I went to the shelter to find me a cat well when he saw me he jumped right in my arms.I right way knew that he was the cat for me..Well in turns out- He loves scrap-booking. He can sit next to the cricut machine and watch it for hours. He even goes in the scrapbook room and cries if I dont join him. Now that the best friend a scrapbooker could have.

I'm so glad I am not the only "softy" that takes in the strays and is loved by the cats in return. Love your story about Indy. I have one kitten that's about to celebrate his first birthday in a couple of months (he's asleep in my craft room with me right now) and another cat that could be his father (they looks so much alike but he's 2 years older - if they are brothers, they didn't come from the same litter), and another cat I took in when I was a door-to-door insurance sale's person7 years ago. On top of this we have a 16 year old cat that was a shelter cat. The kids have seen another kitten around our house. Don't know where he/she came from but they seem to know that I'm a cat lady. LOL

Just love your assistant! I took in a stray cat 7 years ago, and he is still with us, along with 3 dog's and 2 other cat's, my house is a zoo at times but I wouldn't have it any other way.

My cat does the same thing. She always has to be in the middle of my work area and always curious about what I am doing.
