Tinted Vision Fragment Tag

I did this tag for the Compendium of Curiosities Challenge. I used photos of me and my husband, Tim. I made the roses out of grunge paper I cut with the 3-D flower die by Sizzix, I used my Cuttlebug to cut it. You just layer your B plate, your die, the grunge paper, and another B plate on top. I then assembled the flower by rolling it from the outside of the spiral in and then glued with Glossy Accents to secure. I sprayed it with the glimmer mist that I made using Perfect pearls in Forever Red and Distress ink in Fired Brick. These are the smaller of the two flowers that come with the die. I also used the Tim Holtz Sizzix embossing folder to emboss the Quickutz metal and then I inked it with alcohol inks before I sanded off the top layer to show the pattern.

What a gorgeous tag, Christie! The design is stunning-- great use of the embossing folder and dies (those roses ROCK!), and of course, the Fragments! This is romantic and happy and perfect. ♥

You're the first submission this week, and if your wonderful art is any indication, we're in for a real treat.

You and your husband make a beautiful couple!!!

Looks like you and I are on the same page as far as what type of projects we are making. I am stuck on anything by Tim Holtz, his book and Tags! Your tag is gorgeous. I just posted one on my blog that I did for a challenge at my Yahoo Group PBS Swappers. Thanks for sharing~ Sherry F.
