Freebies For All + How to use SVGs from LD

Pin It! Free Product

How about $50 in Freebies For ALL!!! YEAH!!! I have not hid my love for Lettering Delight in the past and again I am singing their praises!!! For those of you that don't know about LD they offer great Fonts, Doodle fonts, SVGs, Digital Paper Packs, Alphabets, Graphics, and so much more I can't even list it all. Last month they had their Dollar Delights (which I just couldn't get enough of) But now they have blown my socks off. They are offering their entire American Pride Super bundle for the low price of $0.00 WOW!!! I first tried them out a long time ago with the free bundle that you get when you sign up for an account with them (which is also free). To be honest I was sceptical, "how could this be???" "is this too good to be true??? I asked myself all the usual Q's. But after I tried out the freebies and loved them I got a couple of others. Then went a bit crazy at the Dollar sale. LOL But the best thing about signing up with them is that you get the occasional email of a free offer like this one. :)

My tutorial today shows how I download and cut one of the free items. I've had a few ask what you do you do with everything once you get them. I created a video tutorial to show you just how easy they are to use. I will be creating other videos but wanted to get this one out there so everyone can see that is is so easy and they can get on board the great Giveaway they are having! At the end of the post I have links to both Make the Cut and Lettering Delight if you are interested. Recently there has been a change and Make the Cut is no longer supports the Cricut. If you already have Make The Cut installed it should continue to work like mine as long as you don't upgrade the software. Make the Cut does work with a ton of other die cut machines though and will continue to do so such as...Silhouette, KNK, Pazzles, BossKut Gazelles, Black Cat Cougar/Lynx, eCraft and others. I hope this helps. Enjoy the Video!

Hi Christie!
I love your blog and all the wonderful things I learn from you. I'm quite new to this playground of paper and fun, but have bought a Cricut that will arrive here in Norway any day now.
I have two questions for you,(and I have no idea if you can answer them, but you seem to know so much); Is there a simular program like Make the Cut that I can use, if they no longer work with Cricut, this tutorial made it look sooo easy!
Do I need to hook the Cricut to a computer for it to work? (and will they work with Mac..)
Hope you don't think I'm out of line for asking you.
Hugs Celia

Congratulations (from another Lounge member) on your blog-a-versary! You have much talent, I like your blog & visit when I can. I use a Silhouette - so to speak - but since their user manual is junk and the store where I bought it closed, I'm not getting out of it what I thought I would ...
Best wishes from Florida!

Sue May 13, 2011 at 11:15 PM

Hi Christy, thanks a lot for the link to the free American Pride bundle. I cannot for the life of me, however, get it to go into my shopping cart on the Lettering Delights website. I created an account, got the automatic signup freebies in my account, but just cannot get the "add to cart" button on the free American Pride bundle to make the bundle go into the cart (or any bundle to go into the card for that matter). Checking that cart box on the bundles has no effect on the contents of the cart. I notice that if I go into an individual component of the bundle and do the "try me now", that is the only way to get things in and out of the cart using the cart checkbox on that screen, but individually the items in the American Pride bundle to not show up as free when adding to the cart in that way. Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong? Once something is in the cart, it does not appear that it can be removed from the cart from the shopping cart page, without going back to the 'try me now' feature of the item and unchecking the cart box there. The higher level cart boxes seem to have no effect. I use Internet Explorer 9. I guess I could try it in a different browser?? Thanks for any clues! Sue, sueayawho@yahoo.com

Sue May 13, 2011 at 11:24 PM

Hi again, regarding my post above with problems with the shopping cart on Lettering Delights, I tried it with a different browser (Safari) and everything worked fine in that browser. Evidently the shopping cart doesn't work correctly in IE9. Ok, sorry to have bothered you! I should have tried that first before posting, but it didn't occur to me until I posted it! Sue.

Lisa May 21, 2011 at 8:16 AM

Hey Christie, I just watched your LD tute on YouTube--great! I've used LD for quite a while, and talk about them in my classes, so I think it's great you did the tutorial for it. I'm sure that will help a lot of others enjoy their fine work. Just wanted to pop by your blog to say...TFS. =)
