Have you tried Loc Washers--not as much surface, but a different dimension.
These are gorgeous! I'm thinking they would be a pretty mobile, kept out of reach of course! But what a pretty and dimensional mobile it would make!

Christie, These are beautiful and what a great way to be able to paint the washers. I made a bracelet with washers and painted some of them with alcohol inks but I had a heck of a time doing that. Your tut would have helped me. I think I'll try what you did and also add some stickles. Thanks. I love the washers idea. I wish I had some alcohol ink to make some. the are on my wish list. someday I just have to remember to do that one. I love it with the flower on it. thanks for sharing

These are so cool, Christie. I had to jump on Joanne.com and order me some alcohol inks. This is the second thing I saw on your blog that I just gotta get. The other one was those containers you used for your chipboard letters. I thought they might work great for things like brads and buckles and such, so I had to order me some of those too...lol! They would probably be great for these washers too. Thank you so much for all these neat ideas!

I have little ones, and I think the large washer would make great tokens (earn 10 tokens for good behavior, get a prize), play money, practice lacing, glue a flower on one side and a magnet on the other, or make beautiful musical instruments (I've seen wind chimes, castinets, tambourines, and shakers using washers.
Great idea especialy the tape bit got a head full of ideas all ready

A brilliant idea and a super effect
Nice idea, how well do these hold up, say if i were to use them for jewlery? should i coat them with something. this also gave me an idea to use my epoxy resin to color the metals.
Love this and tried my hand at it this evening.
