I finally finished my inventory book. Well it turned out to be two books because I was only able to get my hands on a 3/4" binding for my Bind It All. I plan to stock up on some bigger bindings when I find them. They come in sizes all the way up to 1.5" which I could have used right about now! Well, I think they turned out pretty great! I divided the book with die cuts, embossing, punches & rubber stamps in one book and everything else in another. I put several blank pages in between each section and at the beginning and end of each book to add notes and add additional purchases. I made both books 5.5" X 7" and used my Bind It All for the first time :) I used the 7 Gypsies book covers (love them) and the 7 Gypsies leather book strap. I inked it to darken it. I made my divider tabs by embossing metal and then sticking it to cardstock before cutting it with a McGill Tab Punch. I used a variety of Tim Holtz rubber stamps and embellishments to make the front and back covers snazzy. My second book I used a different cover so I could quickly tell one from the other. I didn't want to have a big "SCRAPBOOK INVENTORY " title on it. I wanted it more of a work of art. I know what is inside. The flower was made with the flower die by Sizzix cut with my Cuttlebug. I used both embossed &inked metal and grunge paper which I inked and stamped. I stamped this cover also with Tim Holtz rubber stamps and adorned it with his embellishments.

Your books are stunning, I love all the metal embellishments which a are co-ordinated beautifully with the stamping. A great idea too. Tracy x
Very good work Christie! I have one of the original bind systems by provo craft. It does cut the grungeboard and heavier things we use today for our books. What system do you use and recommend?
Absolutely beautiful! Everyone is going to ask you....where did you get those? You can proudly answer I made them. Looking forward to the video;)

Hello Christie,
I'm still convinced you have way too much stuff ( LOL), but your books look really nice. I hope they are not too heavy to carry them with you to each craftshow !
I like the cover of the first book, but my favorites are the metal tabs !
greetings from belgium

Hi Christie! These books are FAB!! Beautiful work! I don't have an inventory of everything I own, but I do have an ongoing inventory book of my stamps. I know I have too many, but I love them all!
I'm going to CHA tomorrow & Sat. also! I live in Carol Stream so we're really close!
Happy Crafting!

I love your books! What a great idea, to use the metal for the divider tabs.
Have fun at the CHA!

Very Artistic and classy. I have an inventory book but it's in a plain large spiral notebook. Mine is functional but yours is also beautiful !
Howdy Christie,
Your inventory books are totally SPECTACULAR!!! Very inspiring!
The colors, the strap and the embossed metal tabs are spot-on gor-geous! (I LUV embossed metal - LUV, LUV, LUV it!) Plus you've got the chain and key, and the flower and gears - it's just perfect! That was a smart idea to add extra pages, too. If you're anything like me, you'll be shopping and fill 'em up before you know it!
Fyi, one of the many journals I'm currently playing with is a wire-bound journal to list my favorite quotes, words, titles, and affirmations. But I like your design WAY BETTER! I wanna try your flower on my cover, maybe that'll perk it up a tad.
Meanwhile, you've also inspired me to make my other notebooks more 'artsy' and less functional looking - after all, we ARE artistes!
Many thanks for sharing these books.
Peace,
LuLu

Hi Christie, I'm new to your blog. I found you from the Cuttlebug-itis group. Your books are gorgeous! I'm very curious about the embossed metal tabs on your books. I wonder if you have a video on embossing metal. What type metal do you use and how do you attach it, etc... any help for a newbie?
Thanks so much!

It's easy to see why you're pleased with the outcome of your book covers - wonderful indeed! Your work is just great.
These are absolutely fantastic and put my little inventory note book to shame. You have inspired me to try making a book. If it is half as good as yours I shall be pleased!
Christie.
Your book is absolutely wonderful. Thank you for sharing. Kerry P.
Awesome! There is no other way to say it. I love the use of embossed metal.
Christie,
These are BEAUtiful. I really must get it a BIA. You were the first person I saw that used the metal and I love it. TSS is fabulous. There just aren't enough hours in the day!
