I had a brainstorm at the craft store yesterday and had to share it with all of you! I think I came up with a new technique, I've never seen it before and I pushed it to the limit, I think. After I made the video I decided I would have changed one thing, I would next time use a glue pad instead of my embossing pad when brayering on the folders. Watch the video and see what I came up with!
I would love to see what you create using the techniques I teach you. Drop me a email at creationsbychristie@gmail.com Happy Crafting!

Very cool idea. I've never seen it before. Just when we thought everything had been done, you discover something totally new and beautiful. Great job. I'm off to the craft store to get some felt. Thanks for the tutorial.
Absolutely beautiful! Love the one with glitter.
Very cool idea, but the glue pad would be a better idea because I don't think embossing ink would hold the flock or glitter well after it dried. You know what would be cool would be to use embossing powder and the tinseled one and heat it up afterwards!
WOW! I don't have an embossing machine but I'm trying to figure out how to do this using stencils cut from the Cricut.
Love your idea!! I am off to the craft store for felt.
Kewl idea! Thanks for sharing! Can you tell me what that is that you store your Cuttlebug Folders in? I have searched your blog to see if there was a hint somewhere and no hints. Can ya share?
I have never seen this before. My fav is the one with the glitter. So sparkly and pretty.....
Fantastic tutorial ty for sharing. Your tree so pretty and I love the brown and green one!
Does that ink come right off your cuttlebug folders or does it tend to not want to come off..that's my only worry..but soooo pretty!

Absolutely gorgeous, every one of them. My favorite was the glitter stylized flower one. Makes me wish I had a cuttlebug. Great tutorial and idea!
This is neat. I haven't seen this before, but I have seen adding ink to the folders.
What a fantastic idea. I haven't seen it anywhere before. Can't wait to try it. The one with the glitter is gorgeous. Will have to get a glue pad. Thanks for sharing.
Geat idea. They are all gorgeous. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome video! Like the others, I have to say that I like the glittery one the best. I agree that using glue pad would work better for longevity!
Keep up the great ideas!
Wow... I just love all of the medias you used! I really loved how the glitter came out... its like a million dollar piece of felt!!! Great idea!!! Thank you so much for sharing with us!!
Oh, I just found you and I think you are a keeper!
Loved your ideas! Never seen anything like it. Thank you for sharing it.....like everyone else, I am off to the craft store. :)
Very impressive. I love them all. After they sat and you made cards with them, did the glitter, flocking stay on. Wondering if a matt spray could be used, even when using the glue pad I would thinking it might be a good thing.
Thanks for the idea, and I love your blog.

Christie,
That is so clever!!! :) I love the effect!
I had the same question: how do you clean the embossing folder?
Thank you so much for sharing,
Jennifer
Howdy,
Your tutorial was neat - especially like the felt with the M.S. glitter!
I do a similar technique with embossing folders and textures plates using the Big Shot.
Using aluminum repair tape (from hardware store - it's on a roll, inexpensive and is adhesive backed, but not archival safe). I cut a bunch of 6" strips in advance - like while watching TV. Then i put 2 or 3 strips next to each other on the texture plate and run through the Big Shot.
Next I use 2 or 3 Ranger acrylic paint dabbers in coordinating or contrasting colors to randomly dab paint across the 2-3 strips. Let strips dry overnight.
Then gently sand off some paint that's on the raised areas. Wipe off paint dust with a damp paper towel.
Because the strips have adhesive on back, they're easy to stick to whatever...The effect is awesome. I've used some in scrapbook pages, and now using some in my art.
An artist in Illinois named Sharon showed me this technique years ago - but I just recently tried it!
Would love for you to stop by my blog for a visit when you have a moment or 2.
Peace,

I love the felt embossing. I can;t wait to try all three: just ink, flock and glitter. Wow, creativity in the making.
