Baby Robin #1 has hatched!!!!

Pin It! I just had to update you all on our little Robin family. Chickie #1 was born yesterday!!! I was passing by the window and saw Mommy bird, my neighbor's daughter named her Lucy, feeding a baby. I was so excited!!! I thought they had all hatched but when she left to get some more worms to feed the little one I got my camera a took a picture. Sure enough only one had hatched. Since the mom feels safe with us I can pop out the door and take quick pics or video using my IPhone. She will let me know when she is ready to come back to her nest. Maybe she knows I helped her make her nest and is grateful so she is letting me catch a peek or two at her little ones. I hear that they can be very protective but she is comfortable with having me around. I'm grateful to have her around too. :) So here are the beautiful pictures and you must see this video it's truly amazing!!!! A must see!!!

so sweet!!! and what a sweet video :-) When I was visiting my mom up north a few weeks ago she had a nest right outside her house and I got some pictures of the nest and pretty blue eggs, but left before they hatched. I'll have to ask my mom if they have hatched yet. It's amazing how beautiful the nests themselves are. TFS the pic's and video. So wonderful! -Sam :-)

I have much the same going on just outside my front door. She has 4 beautiful eggs. I took pictures of them and check the nest whenever she is gone to see if there is any progress. I hope to get pictures of the little ones as they arrive and follow them in pictures until they leave the nest. What a wonderful gift to be able to see tis whole process up close.
Thanks so much for sharing.

What an awesome experience! Thanks so much for sharing. I am now completely disabled and can't get outside much so I love being able to see videos of nature's wonders. :)

So SWEET!! We get well over 60 pounds of bird food every month for our wild birds (for feeders at home & my husband feeds birds on his mail route)...We have not had the pleasure of seeing any of 'our' birds nests...thank you for the video! LOVE IT!
