I created these bookends out of paper mache letters I purchased at my local craft store. I made a video to show you how exactly I made them. I actually made them for my son who is buying his first home but I think I am going to need to make myself another set. I love them so much, they really turned out awesome. I used a discarded "Slang and Unconventional Term Dictionary" that had been discarded from our local library to cover the letters. The words and definitions make great conversation piece also. They are hysterical to read!

what a cool gift idea! my daughter is also in process of buying her first home and you are absolutely correct...this makes a great housewarming gift. I can even see giving this to a school teacher, if I knew any (LOL)
