These gorgeous cupcakes were made from the new lite cartridges. I used the Cupcake Wrappers cartridge in the leaf3 pattern at 2". I also cut the black scallop 70 part of the topper out of same cartridge. The Storybook cartridge was the font I chose for the 70 I cut on the topper. I was able to do that using the Design Studio software. I cut the black circle out of the George and Basic Shapes to give more contrast between the picture of my Aunt in her younger years when she was a model and the green card stock. I cut the larger green part of the topper out of the EK success punch. I then just simply ran the pieces through my Xyron sticker maker and assembled them together to make custom cupcakes. Yummy Red Velvet Cupcakes!!!
Very nice and yummy looking, Hope your Aunt has a great day with these!

Hello Christie,
ReplyDeletenormally I don't mind that I don't have a cricut machine. It's quite expensive and as I'm not a scrapbooker I don't really would use it that much, BUT.... making these beautiful cupcakes with it !!!! that's a temptation :)
You also have a beautiful standard to put the cakes in or is this in fact a candle stand ?
greetings from belgium

Hi Christie! I LOVE YOUR BLOG!
ReplyDeleteHow do you know the correct size to cut the cupcake wrappers? Not all cupcakes are the same size and I wondered how I can determine the cut size. Trial and error? Thanks for sharing with us!
I love them. They came out so nice. I really need to get this cartridge. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Love all your creations!
ReplyDeleteFantastic job.
ReplyDeleteI love these! They came out great. Question? Is there a set size to cut for the cupcake wrappers or is it hit and miss? quiltfrog@roadrunner.com

ReplyDeleteWow, great job!!! I've never seen this cart actually used for cupcakes! Makes a wonderful display. Tempting for me since I makes lots of cupcakes :)

ReplyDeleteJill...:-)
Those are too cute - thanks for sharing with us!!
ReplyDeleteI cut these at 2" I think it may be a bit of trial and error with sizes of others. It was the height that it took into concideration, not the width. Yes, that is a cupcake stand. It was bought at Michaels. :)
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the way you put together the cupcakes. What a nice thing to do for your beautiful Aunt:)
