Retro Halloween Kaleidoscope Quilt

This quilt that I made a few years ago is by far my favorite quilt. This was my second kaleidoscope quilt I have made. They are alot of fun but you must be very precise with your cutting and sewing for them to turn out right. I had purchased the fabric from Keepsake Quilting. It is a quilt store in New Hampshire. My husband and I love going out to Vermont & New Hampshire and whenever we are there I always beg for a trip to Keepsake Quilting. (I was an avid quilter & seamstress before I became a scrapbooker) The pattern for this quilt came from a book called Magic Stack -n- Whack Quilts by Bethany S. Reynolds. I made it bigger than what the pattern called for so my husband had to hang it over the banister so I could take a picture of it. LOL

  5. Beauuuuuutiful!!! Hey, quilting, papercrafting, it's all art! I want to make quit cards out of all my scraps one of these days following the block patterns in one of the MANY books I have about quilting. Silly books just won't make a quilt on their own! :-)

  7. Being an avid quilter myself, I can only say "great quilt"!! The fabrics you used are wonderful and it made a fun, Halloween quilt. I've made a few stack-n-whack quilts and just love watching them develope. Thank you for sharing this quilt with us. It's wonderful.

  9. This is lovely! I am also a seamstress who loves scrapbooking. It took me years of scrapping before I quit calling paper "fabric". I have never made a stack and whack quilt, but each beautiful example just edges me that much closer...
