I've had a bunch of questions as to what are tissue tapes. They are just what they sound like tissue paper in tape form. Tim Holtz came out with a line of tissue tapes recently that got me inspired to buy more. I had a few from a company that I don't remember who it is. I also have a few tapes that are similar but not as tranparent. I have posted the line of Tim Holtz tapes since they are the most readily available. they sell 2 per pack for about $8.00. There is A LOT on each roll and you will never run out. You can ink them and layer them. The possibilities are endless. ENJOY!!!

I did this card for a challenge I am doing with the Tim Holtz Compendium of Curiosities Book. The challenge was the Water Bleaching Technique with you spray your stamp pad with water and stamp the image on freshly inked cardstock. It gives it a bleached effect. I used the Tim Holtz colors shown in the picture above and stamp is from Hero Arts. The saying I stamped on the card is from Tim Holtz Lost and Found clear stamp collection. If you are interested in the callenge it is at Linda's blog at www. studioL3.com
Black & White Card Challenge
I did this card for PBS Swappers Black and White Card Challenge this week. I cut squares out of Polar Ice White paper from the Paper company and attached them to black card stock. I then cut butterflies out out black dictionary text using the Martha Stewart butterfly punch. I adhered them using the small Zot dots, I only put one small dot in the center because I wanted the wings to raise like the butterflies were flying. I then added a small pearl in the center of the body. I made a couple of borders by stacking black and polar ice paper. I love the shimmer and elegance that the polar ice and the pearls gives the card.

Labeling Your Embossing Powders
I label all of my embossing powder bottles with a dot of their finished look by embossing a dot on top. I do this so it is quick and easy for me to see what it is going to look like on my finished project. It takes no time at all to do as you can see in my video and the end result is spectacular. Enjoy!
